Video captured the horrific scene when a falling air conditioner struck an FDNY firefighter at a two-alarm fire in Brooklyn, sending him to the hospital in stable but serious condition.

Officials say an FDNY firefighter was seriously injured when he was struck by a falling air conditioner at a Brooklyn house fire Monday.

Video captured the horrific scene: the firefighter from Ladder 172 was walking to the street when the air conditioner fell straight down on top of him. The firefighter immediately collapsed into the driveway.

The firefighter was knocked unconscious, the New York Post reported. He was taken to the hospital in stable but serious condition, and his injures were not considered life-threatening, the FDNY told the New York Daily News.

It happened while firefighters were operating at the scene of a two-alarm fire in Brooklyn's Bensonhurst neighborhood Monday morning.

In the video that captured the scene, someone yells out "medic" as others rushed to his aid.

FDNY officials said five other firefighters were hurt at the fire that damaged two homes.
