Bethany, IL, Assistant Chief Returns to Duty

Bethany Fire Protection District Assistant Fire Chief Curt Robinson suffered a life-threatening medical issue in May.

Bethany Fire Protection Destrict crews are welcoming back their assistant chief.

Curt Robinson has been sidelined since late May when he suffered an acute rupture of his esophagus. He was flown to Barnes-Jewish Hospital where he underwent major surgery, WCIA reported.

He recovered with one goal in mind -- to return to work.

And, this week, he did just that.
