A Salem Lakes firefighter was hurt when he fell through a hole in the floor at a house fire.

"Companies made an aggressive effort to remove that person from the fire, which they did successfully. He's at the hospital for evaluation," Salem Lakes Fire Chief Al Carr told WISN.

An Amazon delivery person called 9-1-1 after hearing an alarm and smelling something coming from the house.

Firefighters faced flames and smoke when they entered the house to investigate.

As the area does not have hydrants, firefighters called for a second-alarm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
