Brown Recluse Spiders Bite Firefighters in Elizabethtown, KY, Fire Station

Firefighters were transferred while the brown recluse spiders were evicted from Elizabethtown Station 3.

Elizabethtown firefighters moved out of a fire station last week after they discovered they were sharing their quarters with brown recluse spiders.

Two firefighters were treated for spider bites and two others are suspected of being victims, according to WDRB.

The crew was transferred while the eviction -- spraying, fogging and dusting -- was carried out in their station.

Firefighters may be headed back to the firehouse today -- as long as the long-legged tenants have moved out.
