Bangor Fire Station #6 is the first and only LEED Gold Fire Station in Maine. This satellite Station was completed in May 2009. The new three bay facility was designed to house 5 pieces of apparatus: 1 Engine, 1 Aerial, 1 Tanker, and 2 Rescues. The Station is located in a rural area of the city; however the station district protects residential, commercial, and industrial areas. The station includes state of the art living quarters for the fire fighters, including a fitness room and training area.
