    The Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) is one of 6 volunteer Fire Departments in Hillsborough County, Florida. Part of the 36-station Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) service, the BVFD responds to approximately 1200 calls per year. The BVFD provides structural and brush fire suppression, rescue/extrication, and emergency medical services to a rapidly-growing community of 33,000 residents in a 19-square mile area in a primarily rural and agricultural community of Valrico, Florida, just 8 miles East of Tampa.
