Indianapolis Fire Station 19 is located at 1004 S. White River Parkway and is adjacent to Interstate 70.
Housed in the station are Engine 19 and Ladder 19 that are both staffed by four. Tactical 19 is a pod unit filled with decontamination supplies and equipment. Foam 19 is a flatbed body that carries a number of 55-gallon of foam and is equpped with multiple master streams. Both special units are cross-staffed by the on-duty firefighters.
The intial response area includes a heavy mix of industrial and single family dwellings. The White River is just yards from the back of the station.
The second floor is where firefighters spend their downtime. The kitchen features a variety of custom-made steel work, including the stove hood, done by a member of the station. A small deck outside of the kitchen offers a great view of Lucas Oil Stadium.
Other areas include office and television areas, and a bunkroom. The first floor has a watchroom and gym.
