Woman Shot in Head Arrives at NY Fire Station

Albany firefighters treated a 35-year-old woman who showed up at the department's Arbor Hill fire station after she had received a gunshot wound to the head.

ALBANY, NYA woman with a gunshot wound to her head showed up at the fire station late Thursday night, and Albany police say they are continuing to investigate the incident.

Police said in a news release that officers responded at approximately 10:40 p.m. to Colonie Street between Lark and North Swan streets for reports of a shooting. Moments after the call, a 35-year-old female victim arrived at the Arbor Hill firehouse nearby with a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was treated by firefighters and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
