Tell Congress to Fund Fire and EMS Station Construction

The NVFC's online tool makes it easy for you to tell members of Congress to appropriate a proposed $1 billion for construction and refurbishment of fire and EMS stations.

The National Volunteer Fire Council is making it easy for you to tell members of Congress to approve vital funding for fire and EMS stations.

U.S. Representatives Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), Mike Bost (R-IL), and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) have introduced new legislation (H.R. 3728) to authorize a one-time, $1 billion appropriations fund for the construction and refurbishment of fire and EMS stations.

Distribution of the funds would be handled by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and likely involve an application process similar to FEMA's SAFER and Assistance to Firefighters Grant programs.

The NVFC's online tool will help you contact your local representatives and let them know you support this vital legislation.
