NERIS Essentials: Making NERIS Part of the Job

As 2025 comes to an end, the National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS) has been rolled out accross every state. The cloud-based platform collects and and makes it easier to create reports using data from your fire department and others at the local and national level. NERIS replaces the legacy National Fire Incident Reporting System.

NERIS rolled out in 2024 to provide fire departments with faster data collection, smarter reporting, and deeper analytics.
