Savox Debuts Fully Integrated Communication and Active In Ear Hearing Protection Solution for Firefighters
Savox unveiled Savox Fire Protect, the first fully integrated firefighter communication system in the world that combines wireless push-to-talk (PTT) and active in-ear hearing protection into a single, purpose-built solution.
Firefighters work in high-risk, high-noise areas where ease of use, hearing protection, and clear communication are crucial. Current solutions usually necessitate trade-offs between usability, heat resistance, hearing protection and audio quality. While current wireless PTT systems are frequently ergonomically hampered when used under protective equipment or with heavy gloves, passive hearing protection can impair situational awareness.
Savox Fire Protect offers firefighters a comprehensive communication solution that includes wireless PTT operation, crisp audio, and active hearing protection. Without limiting mobility or functionality, the system can be worn under a chemical diving suit or over fire-resistant protective gear.
The Savox NC-100 active in-ear headset with built-in microphone, the Savox TRICS C2 radio control system, and the Savox W-P100 wireless PTT control unit make up the solution. Every component is made to function dependably under harsh firefighting circumstances and to be used with common protection gear.
“The requirements of firefighters differ fundamentally from those of other professional users,” said Elmeri Backman, portfolio manager, Savox Communications. “Savox Fire Protect is purpose‑designed for firefighting operations, ensuring reliable communication, active hearing protection and ease of use without compromise.”
Savox Fire Protect's individual technologies are derived from Savox solutions that have been widely employed in actual military and rescue missions throughout the world. These tried-and-true technologies are combined into a fully integrated system designed especially for firefighting applications with Fire Protect.
Savox Fire Protect supports enhanced situational awareness, communication dependability, and user safety by broadening Savox's range of mission-critical communication solutions for professionals working in safety-critical areas.
