Santa Fe County Engine 3

This KME/Navistar 4x4 pumper was delivered with NWCG Type 3 requirements to El Dorado in Santa Fe County, N.M.

The Navistar 7400 crew cab features a Maxxforce 9 330 hp engine with an Allison 3000 EVS.

Water delivery is handled by a Hale Interface Pumping System with a 1,500-gpm stationary performance pump with a 100-gpm at 150 psi and idle pump-and-roll capability. There is a direct injection foam system and the unit carries 1,000 gallons of water and 20 gallons of foam, dual hose reels and a deck gun.

The vehicle is rated to perform above 8,000 feet and features 3/16-inch aluminum body construction.
