When the Seminole County, FL, Fire Department (SCFD) broadened its youth outreach to include after-school clubs and elective courses, it was invited to speak to the students of the Fire Forensics Class at One School of the Arts & Sciences. Encouraging students to create fire prevention content not only educates but also gives them ownership. After the SCFD’s presentation, one of the students decided to become a fire investigator.
