Baton Rouge, LA, Puts New ARFF in Service

This Oshkosh Striker 4 X 4 vehicle is now on duty at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport in Baton Rouge,LA. The vehicle features a Deutz 670 hp engine and accelerates from 0 to 50 mph in 25 seconds. The apparatus also features TAK-4 all-wheel independent suspension and seating for five firefighters. The firefighting system includes a 1,500-gallon (6000 liter) water tank, a 210-gallon (840 liter) foam tank, a 550-pound (250 kg) dry chemical system, a structural firefighting panel, and the Snozzle high-reach extendable turret.
