Sumter County, Ga., Gets Two 3,000-gallon Tankers

Sumter County Fire & Rescue in Sumter County, Georgia recently took delivery of two 2015 Kenworth 3,000 gallon tankers. The tanker were manufactured by Fouts Brothers in Smyrna, Georgia. These tankers will allow SCFR the capabilities to deliver large amounts of water from a water source to a fire scene where there are no fixed water systems (hydrants). The delivery of these tankers is part of an apparatus replacement program and is the first in a series of additional apparatus that will be delivered to SCFR over the next few months. They are also equipped with Darley LSP 1,000 gpm pumps, three Whelen PS Tank level gauges, Optimo rear camera systems with GPS-7101, and Federal Q2B sirens.
