Hudson Fire & Rescue in Hudson, Iowa, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire tanker built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis, powered by a Cummins engine. It has a 2,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank, a Darley 2BE18V 18-HP portable pump, a 2.5-inch direct tank fill and a tank level gauge. Other equipment includes stainless steel Newton 10-inch square dump valves with 36-inch telescoping chutes, stainless steel "tip-down" portable tank carrier and a 2,100-gallon portable tank.
It's also equipped with R.O.M. anodized aluminum roll-up doors, four Whelen scene lights, Streamlight Fire Vulcan flashlight, Kussmaul battery charger with auto eject, a Carson SA-441, Whelen Warning lights and custom lettering and Chevron striping.
