The Rush City Fire Department took delivery of this tandem axle tanker built by CustomFIRE.
The rig, purchased through HGAC Buys, is mounted on a Kenworth T480 chassis and powered by a Paccar PX-9 380-hp engine with an Allison 3000EVS transmission.
The concealed bolted stainless steel body has roll-up compartment doors, adjustable shelving, pull-out compartment trays, and slide-in folding tank storage. Features include aluminum hosebed covers and an extended bumper with a hosewell.
Wheel well storage includes SCBA cylinder and extinguisher storage and a Floor-Dry hopper.
Fire suppression includes a Hale HPX400-B18 460-gpm pump, a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard Engine and a 3,200-gallon poly water tank.
Water supply features include driver- and passenger-side drop-down dump chutes, and a rear telescoping dump chute.
Warning equipment a Whelen LED lightbar, warning lights, electronic speaker and dual air horns.
