The Village of Winnetka, IL, FD has taken delivery of a custom pumper built by Smeal Fire Apparatus.

Firefighters with the Village of Winnetka, IL, Fire Department have taken delivery of a custom pumper built by Smeal Fire Apparatus. It is built on a Spartan Gladiator cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins ISL 450 hp engine and an Allison transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CSUC20 1,500-gpm single-stage pump, a 500-gallon UPF tank with two foam cells for A/B foam and a Waterous Advantus Class A/B foam system. Other features include a Harrison generator with an integrated IHT system for Genesis hydraulic tools, a loaded front bumper with a trashline and hydraulic reels. It also has Fire Research Corporation Insight Ultimate flow gauges and a Weldon V-MUX multiplexing system.
