Apparatus - Philadelphia Gets Four New Custom Pumpers

The Philadelphia Fire Department has put in service a fleet of Spartan ER custom pumpers.

The Philadelphia Fire Department has put in service four 2017 Spartan Metro Star ER pumpers equipped with a 4 door 6 seat climate controlled cabs, raised roofs, and full height rear doors.  They are powered by 450 hp Cummins ISL diesel engines and Allison 3000EVS automatic transmissions. They are equipped with Waterous CMU 1,500 gpm, two-stage pumps, 500-gallon UPF Poly Tank III water tanks, advanced protection systems, Apollo Hi-Riser deck guns,and Trident air primers. They also have FRC ThrottleExcel controls, Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditoners, LED compartment lighting, slide-out tool trays, backboard compartments over the pump panels, R.O.M. shutters, rear booster hose reels, twin rear 2.5-inch discharges, front LED Evolution brow lights, Federal Q2B mechanical sirens. They were sold through Campbell Supply Company, South Brunswick, NJ. The salesmen were John Rosetti and Chuck Yoeman.
