Nov. 10--An American Airlines flight arriving from Charlotte grazed a fire truck at DFW Airport as it was pulling in to its gate on Thursday morning.

Airport spokesman David Magana said the crew of flight 611 had called in a medical emergency so the airport's department of public safety sent a fire truck out to meet the aircraft when it arrived at the terminal.

He said the fire truck was parked in the fire lane when the MD-80's right wing clipped the truck's ladder at its turning point.

There were no injuries but both the plane and the fire truck were damaged in the incident that occurred at Terminal A, gate 37.

The airport's DPS is investigating the incident, Magana said.
