A New York volunteer firefighter was injured Saturday when the apparatus he was in rolled over.

The accident happened at around 5:30 p.m. as Rockaway Point firefighters were responding to an emergency in the Breezy Point section of Queens, according to the department. In order to avoid another vehicle, the apparatus driver swerved, causing the rig to overturn.
