Apparatus Falls 20 Feet over Bridge South of CA-Mexico Border

Three firefighters were injured when they were ejected from their apparatus after the driver lost control of the vehicle, which smashed through a concrete barrier and over a bridge in Tijuana.

Three Mexican firefighters were injured when an apparatus toppled 20 feet off a bridge just south of the international border Friday.

The accident happened shortly before 10 a.m. in Tijuana, BorderReport.com reports. A diesel spill on the road is thought to have caused the driver of the apparatus to lose control, sending the vehicle crashing through a concrete barrier and over the side of the bridge.

Three firefighters were ejected from the apparatus. They were taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to BorderReport.com.
