Four FDNY Firefighters Injured in Apparatus Crash

The accident happened as FDNY's Engine 73 was responding to a fire, and it was struck by a livery cab in the Melrose section of the Bronx early Wednesday.

Four FDNY firefighter and two others were injured in a crash between an apparatus and a car early Wednesday.

The accident occurred just before 2 a.m. in the Melrose area of the Bronx, WCBS-TV reports. Engine 73 were responding to a fire call when it was struck by a livery cab.

The collision injured four firefighters and two civilians in the cab. Everyone who was injured are expected to recover.

The crash is under investigation, according to WCBS.
