A Salt Lake City fire apparatus was struck by a car at a station Monday, injuring two firefighters.
The accident happened while the apparatus was sitting on the concrete apron of Station 6, the fire department stated in an online update. Photos from the crash scene show extensive damage to the car, which was wedged beneath the emergency vehicle's front bumper.
Two firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries following the incident. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital by that person's family.
No details were given concerning how the accident happened. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
