Six people were injured when a tractor-trailer collided with a Delaware fire apparatus Tuesday.
The accident happened just after 10 a.m. at an intersection in Delmar, WBOC-TV reports. A Delmar Fire Department apparatus was responding to an emergency call was struck by a tractor-trailer.
The crash injured six people, and they were taken to the hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening. It was not clear how many firefighters were hurt in the incident.
"All Fire personnel are home and resting," the department stated in a social media post. "We thank everyone for their prayers, it is greatly appreciated. … There will be no lapse in Fire/EMS coverage."
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
