A ladder truck from the Champaign Fire Department was involved in an accident Wednesday morning that sent two people to the hospital.
The ladder truck was responding eastbound on Green Street to a call when it entered the intersection and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound.
Police said a firefighter on Ladder 161 and the occupant of the vehicle were both treated on scene and were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to WCIA.com.
Both the apparatus and car suffered moderate damage and were towed from the incident.
