KME Fire Apparatus built this 102-foot tower ladder for the East Pennsboro Fire Department.
The rig is built on a KME SSX SMFD cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins X15 600-hp engine with an Allison 4000 EVS transmission. It is equipped with a Steertek NXT front axle assembly and an AXIS smart truck vehicle monitoring system.
The Straight Shot aerial body has beveled overlapping doors and SCBA cylinder fender storage.
The rig has HiViz scene lighting, two Hannay 240-volt electric cord reels, a SmartPower PTO 6kW generator, and a Whelen emergency lighting package.
It is equipped a Hale DSD 1,500-gpm single-stage pump and a 300-gallon UPF water tank, along with dual 6-inch inlets with Hale master intake valves.
