Apparatus - BP in Alaska Reach New Heights With Aerial

Firefighters with BP of Alaska, Endicott Fire Department, located in Anchorage, recently took delivery of a Smeal 85-foot rear-mount aerial platform.

It's built on a Smeal Sirius MFD cab and chassis with a Cummins engine and an Allison transmission. It also has a Hale pump, a UPF water tank, and a National Foam Servo Command proportioning system. 

Other features include an Akron StreamMaster, an arctic cold climate insulation package, a 46,000 BTU Groco pump compartment heater, a FireCom intercom system, breathing air at the tip and enclosed storage.
