The Abilene Fire Department has taken delivery of a custom-built Sutphen SP 100 aerial platform.

The aerial platform is built on a Monarch chassis with seating for five, and it is powered by a Cummins X12 500-hp engine and an Allison Gen 5, EVS 40000 transmission.

Fire suppression components include a Hale QMAX 2,000-gpm pump with a 500-gallon water tank.

Additional equipment includes a Hannay 175-foot electric cord reel, Harrison 8KW generator, Whelen emergency lighting and FireTech scene lights.

The platform has Akron 3473 Gemini manual 1,000-gpm monitors.
