MD Ambulance Stolen from Station Crashes into Truck

An Anne Arundel County Fire Department ambulance was taken from an Annapolis firehouse, and the suspect fled after crashing into a work truck in front of the station, injuring at least one person.

An ambulance was stolen from a Maryland fire station and then crashed into a van while trying to elude authorities Saturday, according to reports.

The rig was stolen from Anne Arudel County Fire Department's Station 35, Anne Arundel News Network reports. After stealing the ambulance, the suspect crashed into a panel-type work truck in front of the station, according to the Shore News Beacon.

The suspect fled the scene following the accident. An occupant in the work van needed to be extricated and then airlifted to a hospital, the News Beacon added.
