Multiple Injuries in NJ Ambulance Rollover Crash

A Tricare Medical Transportation ambulance was involved in an accident that flipped the vehicle on its side in a wooded area along Route 55 in Gloucester County, according to reports.

Multiple people were injured in a rollover crash involving a New Jersey ambulance Monday.

The accident happened just before 12:30 p.m. along Route 55 in Gloucester County, WPVI-TV reports. Photos from the scene show a Tricare Medical Transportation ambulance on its side off the road and next to a downed tree.

It's not clear if the ambulance was transporting a patient at the time of the crash. According to Alertpage's Twitter feed, at least one person was killed and another person was "in (the) care of EMS workers."

The crash shut down parts of Route 55 while rescue crews worked, WPVI added.
