In Indianapolis from April 23–25 the Terex Ambulance Group, which comprises the ambulance brands American Emergency Vehicles, Horton Emergency Vehicles, Road Rescue and Wheeled Coach, will present 13 of the most recent advancements in ambulance and rescue vehicle apparatus innovation and design.

"We are looking forward to connecting and interacting with EMS professionals at FDIC this year,” said Gary Gunter, vice president, Terex Ambulance Group. “We are excited to feature a wide array of innovative and industry-leading mission critical emergency vehicles that help EMS providers serve their communities.”

The Mt. Horeb Area, WI, Joint Fire Department's Type I F-Series ambulance will be on display at American Emergency Vehicles' Booth #4257 AEV. It has an F-550 4x4 chassis with a 176-inch by 96-inch body and 72-inch interior headroom, providing a roomy, high-performance patient care environment. The unit, which was constructed using AEV's TraumaHawk X-Series package, has a patient compartment light rail system, HEPA Max HVAC, lit cabinetry, Auto Shade entry windows, and a chic multiplex system with new UV800 panels. This unit is highly useful and aesthetically pleasing because to its transverse oxygen storage, embossed stepping surfaces, full blackout exterior and high-conspicuity LED lighting.

Built for Washington DC Fire & EMS, Horton Emergency Vehicles' FDIC 2026 display unit is based on an International MV607 chassis with a 533 module. The cutting-edge "Power-Tech by Horton" electrical system, the company's newest multiplex platform designed for improved control, diagnostics, and serviceability, is on display in this NFPA-compliant ambulance. For one of the most demanding EMS environments in the country, additional premium technologies like Stealth Power idle mitigation, HAAS Alert collision prevention, CoolTech I climate control, LiquidSpring suspension, and Change Notice 10 enhancements come together to provide outstanding ride quality, scene safety and operational performance.

The Road Rescue 50th Anniversary ambulance is a flagship demonstration vehicle designed to illustrate emergency vehicle technology's future while commemorating 50 years of progress. This unit includes an extended 174-inch Ultramedic module with 74-inch interior headroom and a 46-inch aisle, providing outstanding workplace, comfort, and operational efficiency. It is built on a 2026 Ford F-550 4x4 chassis with a 7.3-liter gas drivetrain. The sophisticated Smart Display 5.0 multiplex electrical system, which offers completely integrated digital control of lighting, diagnostics, and vehicle functions through an easy-to-use interface, lies at the heart of this car.

The Wheeled Coach FDIC Demo unit is a Type 1 Ford F550, XLT, 4x4 gasoline chassis equipped with a LiquidSpring rear suspension system with severe weather insulation, a RelayPlex Vision Touch Screen electrical system and a CoolBar HVAC system. With 74-inch of interior headroom, a 6-inch drop skirt in front of both rear wheels, and a Wheeled Coach Double Side Entry Step that is more ergonomic for emergency medical services, the Door Forward modular body measures 170-inch by 95-inch.
