Terex Fire and Ambulance Group Brands to Collect Donations for Tunnel to Towers in Indianapolis
At FDIC International in Indianapolis, Terex Fire & Emergency brands will start a contribution drive to support Tunnel to Towers (T2T).
AEV, Wheeled Coach, Horton, Road Rescue and Leader from Terex Ambulance Group and E-ONE, Ferrara, KME, Spartan Emergency Response, Smeal, Spartan Fire Chassis and Ladder Tower from Terex Fire Group are among the participating brands.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a 501(c)(3) foundation that commemorates the sacrifices made by military members, first responders, and victims of Sept. 11. The group creates specifically designed smart houses for severely injured veterans, offers mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families, and is dedicated to ending veteran homelessness while making sure America never forgets Sept. 11, 2001.
“We are proud to support Tunnel to Towers and its meaningful mission to serve first responders and military members,” said Mike Virnig, president, Specialty Vehicles segment. “As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, this initiative provides an important opportunity to honor those we’ve lost and support those who continue to serve.”
The Terex Fire and Ambulance Group brands will start the fundraising drive with a $10,000 donation and work to raise at least $25,000 over the course of the year.
Attendees can use an on-site donation kiosk at Booth #4037 during FDIC. While supplies last, donors will get a limited-edition Sept. 11 commemorative challenge coin.
