A Texas ambulance caught fire with a patient inside early Monday.
The fire broke out at about 12:30 a.m. near Boerne as a Kendall County EMS ambulance was taking someone to a San Antonio hospital, KENS-TV reports. Paramedics were able to safely get themselves out of the burning rig before emergency crews arrived at the scene, according to WOAI-TV.
Boerne firefighters were able to put out the flames, and they were able to transport the patient to the hospital. No injuries were reported.
The fire is being blamed on a malfunctioning generator, KENS added.
