The Flat Rock Area Fire Protection District has taken delivery of a custom-built Alexis Fire brush truck on a Ford chassis.
The chassis is a Ford F-350 4x4 SD Super Cab with a 7.3L V8 Engine and a TorqShift 10-speed transmission.
The body has a 300-gallon Poly Defender 1 custom skid tank with a Darley AGE 20H Pump with a Honda GX630 20-HP engine.
The brush rig features a front mounted Akron Forestry Monitor 2” front turret with joystick control, a WARN XD9000i Multi-Mount Winch, and a Hannay electric 200-foot 1” booster reel.
