KME built this rear walk-in heavy rescue for the Friendship Fire Co. in Lebanon with an overall length of 436 inches.
Built on a Severe Service S2D chassis, it has a 100-inch KME two-door flat roof cab and is powered by a Cummins ISX 12L 500-hp engine and Allison 4000 EVS transmission.
The 16-inch bumper extension carries a Warn 9,000 lb. portable winch and a Warn 16,500 lb. electric winch front bumper extension.
The aluminum body has six compartments on each side with ROM roll up doors, and includes winch receiver points on the sides and rear of the body, eight tie-off points and a Girard RV style armless awning.
It is equipped with a cascade system with four 6,000 psi ASME air bottles and two containment filling stations.
Fender storage compartments contain 14 SCBA bottles. Other storage includes a Stokes Basket in a transverse compartment and ladder storage under the walk-in bench seat.
The rig has a Harrison 20kW hydraulic generator, a Will-burt 4.5 6,000-watt light tower, Weldon V-Mux System, and reels for electric cords, air lines and hydraulic lines.
Warning equipment includes a Whelen lighting package and there is a Firecom digital intercom system.
