The Sumter, SC, Fire Department recently took delivery of a new Toyne pumper, built on a Spartan EV cab and chassis.

The Sumter, SC, Fire Department recently took delivery of a new Toyne pumper, built on a Spartan EV cab and chassis. It is powered by a Cummins ISL 9 380-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale Qflo 1,250-gpm pump and a 1,000-gallon UPF tank. Other equipment includes an Elkhart Brass Stinger monitor with a TFT nozzle and telescoping scene lighting made by Fire Research Corp.
