Tuscarora, MI, Fire Department recently took delivery of an all-new custom HME Ahrens Fox rescue pumper, built on a HME 1871-SFO custom chassis. It is powered by a Cummins ISL 370-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. Other equipment includes painted polished aluminum wheels, a cab, roof-mounted Whelen 72-inch Freedom light bar, and a 72-cubic foot hosebed. To fight fire, it has a Hale Qflo 1,250-gpm pump, a Hale Foamlogix Class A foam system, and a 1,715-gallon water tank with a 30-gallon foam cell. The stainless-steel body has 170 cubic feet of compartment storage with adjustable shelving throughout.
