The Orion Township Fire Department took delivery of this custom pumper built by Sutphen.
The rig is built on a Sutphen Monarch heavy-duty custom chassis with a 62-inch extended four-person cab with a 10-inch raised roof.
Power comes from a Cummins L9 450-hp engine, Leece Neville 320 amp alternator and a Allison Gen 5 EVS3000 transmission.
A Hale QMAX 2,000-gpm single-stage pump is supplied by a 1,000-gallon water tank. The 20-gallon foam tank works with the Hale Smartfoam 2.1A system.
The body is made of 3/16-inch extruded aluminum and has 294 cubic feet of compartment space.
