The Decatur Hamilton, MI, Fire Department has put in service a custom, top-mount pumper built by KME Fire Apparatus. It is built on a KME Panther LFD 100-inch cab and chassis with a 22-inch raised roof, Vista cab interior. It is powered by a Cummins L9 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous 1,500-gpm two-stage pump, an 880-gallon polypropylene tank with a 20-gallon foam cell and a Waterous Advantus 3 foam system. The overall length of the truck is 35 feet.
