Memphis, TN, Fire Department has taken delivery of a Pierce Arrow XT pumper. The apparatus is built on a Pierce four-door cab and chassis, powered by a Detroit Diesel DD13 470-hp engine and an Allison transmission. To fight fire, it has a Pierce PUC 1,500-gallon mid-ship pump, a 750-gallon water tank with a 30-gallon foam cell and a Husky 12 foam system. Other features include a Task Force Tips Hurricane monitor, a Kussmaul battery conditioner and Whelen warning and scene lights.
