Toyne built this custom pumper for the Springfield Fire Department on a Spartan chassis with a 1,250-gpm pump and 750-gallon water tank.

The Springfield Fire Department worked with Toyne to build this pumper on a Spartan Metro Star MFD chassis. 

The rig is powered by a 380-hp Cummins ISL9 engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission.

The bolted painted stainless-steel body has painted roll-up doors, Whelen PCH2 scene lights, a rear slide-in ladder and pike pole storage and a slide-out toolboard. It is also outfitted with a front bumper hosewell with 1 3/4-inch discharge and an Akron Apollo monitor with TFT 18-inch extension.

Fire suppresion includes a 1,250-gpm Waterous CSU pump, 750-gallon UPF water tank and Waterous Aquis 6 Class A/B foam system. 

The department protects over 82 square miles with a population of 170,000.
