Apparatus - Parshall, ND, Volunteers Get New Tanker/Pumper

The volunteers with the Parshall, ND, Rural Fire District have taken delivery of a side-control tanker pumper, built on a Freightliner M2 106 cab and chassis, by Midwest Fire. The apparatus is powered by a Cummins L9 350-hp engine and an Allison EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 3,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank and a Darley LSP 1,000-gpm pto pump. Other equipment includes three Newton stainless steel dump valves with telescoping chutes, a Zico electric portable tank carrier and a 3,000-gallon portable tank. It also has Whelen scene and warning lights, an Elkhart Sidewinder electric-controlled monitor and a Kussmaul battery conditioner.
