Morehead City, NC, Fire Department has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis with a Cummins L9 350EV hp engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Darley LSP 1,000-gpm pto pump and a 2,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank. Other features include three Newton 10-inch square dump valves with 18-inch telescoping chutes, a tip-down portable tank carrier and a 2,100-gallon portable tank. It also has Whelen warning and scene lights and a Kussmaul air and battery conditioner with auto eject.
