Wanamingo, MN, Fire Department has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire Tanker built on a Freightliner 108SD chassis. It is powered by a a Cummins L9 400-hp engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. It is equipped with a 3,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank, two 2.5-inch direct tank fills, a tank level gauge, three Newton 10-inch square dump valves with 36-inch telescoping chutes, 3,000-gallon portable tank and an all polypropylene body.  Other features include Whelen scene and warning lights, a Kussmaul battery and air conditioner and OnSpot Chains.
