Car Hits TX Aerial, Injuring Firefighter, Two Civilians

Plano firefighters were responding to an accident when another vehicle crashed into the apparatus, which was blocking traffic at the scene.

A car crashed into an aerial, injuring a Texas firefighter and two civilians early Sunday.

Plano firefighters responded to a traffic accident involving a trapped motorist just after 2 a.m., KTVT-TV reports. At the scene, the aerial was blocking traffic when a car struck it.

The car's driver needed to be extricated and was taken to Medical City Plano. The crash also injured a firefighter, who was taken to the hospital, treated and released, KTVT added.
