Dec. 25, 2015
Daniel Carcillo invited the family of fallen Chicago firefighter Daniel Capuano to a practice.

A former Chicago Blackhawks player spent time with the family of fallen Chicago firefighter Daniel Capuano earlier this week.

Daniel Carcillo, who was a forward with the Blackhawks, posted on Instagram: "I was humbled to be in the company of the Capuano family and spend some time with the boys at practice. My thoughts will be with them over the holidays."

Capuano, a 15-year veteran, died on Dec. 14 after falling into an elevator shaft at a warehouse fire.

He was a youth hockey coach and longtime Blackhawks fan.

I was humbled to be in the company of the Capuano family and spend some time with the boys at practice. My thoughts will be with them over the holidays.
