NC Firefighters Attend Graduation as 'Honorary Dads'
New Hanover County and Whitesville firefighters dressed up in their Class A uniforms to support their extended family after the recent loss of a firefighter Saturday.
The firefighters attended the graduation for Michael Stanley's daughter, Amber, as "honorary dads," according to WBTV.com.
Stanley was killed in a motorcycle crash earlier this month.
They wanted to show their support for Amber at their ceremony, according to the television statement.
Firefighters posed for photos with Amber and she was also photographed holding her father's firefighting helmet.
