Cool Cat Survives Five-Story Leap During Chicago Fire
They say cats have nine lives, but one particular feline in the Windy City is probably down to eight after surviving an incredible leap.
The Chicago Fire Department shared a video on Twitter this past week showing a black cat leaping from a fifth-floor window to escape a fire at a South Side building.
You can hear people in a crowd of onlookers scream and gasp as the kitty takes flight, but the animal winds up bouncing on its feet as it hits the grass below and then simply darts away.
The condition of the cat is unknown at this time.
