CA Firefighter Pleads Guilty to Killing Fellow Firefighter in DUI Crash
An off-duty San Diego firefighter pled guilty to driving his motorcycle under the influence causing a crash that killed his passenger who was a fellow firefighter.
Patrick Sullivan pled guilty to charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, according to a report by Fox 5 San Diego.
Sullivan faces 10 years in prison for the death of Ryan Ferrara who was killed during the crash.
Both men were riding on the motorcycle without helmets in a residential area at speeds around 55 mph when Sullivan lost control and crashed into a parked boat, according to officials involved with the case.
